What is GCGC?

First held in 2016, the Global Crises and Global Change: Undergraduate Conference, was organized and run by undergraduate students from Westminster College. The 2017 Organizers continue the work of realizing the GCGC conference in the spirit of its founders’ intentions, goals and hopes.

The members of this years’ organizing team all presented their own research in the 2016 conference. This year, they intend to further expand the conference’s reach, hosting students and keynote speaker from local as well as out-of-state and even overseas.

With the help of our faculty advisors, Professor Figueroa-Helland and Professor Giancarlo Panagia, the 2017 organizers seek to facilitate a safe and stimulating environment to critically address and discuss some of the most challenging issues we see in our world today.
