2018 Global Crises and Global Change
what we do
The conference is a place to present research, artifacts, music, film etc., that convey one or multiple global crises affecting our contemporary world. As displaced populations migrate, resources become scarce, ideologies clash and wars are waged, we must first understand and then seek to find solutions to these many crises by including and considering multiple knowledges in an ever changing globe. This conference hopes to be part of this struggle for change.
By bringing together students, faculty, organizations and community members from around the world, the conference creates a boundary breaking, intersectional environment for different perspectives, ideas and conversations. Therefore, the 2017 conference organizes choose to organize the event in a way that will protect and promote this climate.
option for publication
We are pleased to announce that there will be one (potentially more) papers submitted to the peer-reviewed Glendon Journal of International Studies, based out of York University's (Canada) Glendon College. This has been made possible through the cooperation of the 2018 GCGC Organizing Committee, the GJIS editorial board, and the journal's faculty advisor, Dr. Elaine Coburn.
